very excellent for phonics practice
Rate Given : 4 | on : 2009-11-21I tutor kids with dyslexia and AD/HD and teach them phonics (Orton-Gillingham). I am always looking for ways to spice up a lesson. So far I haven"t found a kid who doesn"t like practicing vowel teams, silent-e and consonant blends using this game. I modify it and we hold turns, and I assist them create their words.
This can be a very helpful educational game for kids and adults who need to practice their phonics skills!

Rate Given : 3 | on : 2009-11-08this game looked like fantastic fun on tv so bought it. They are to be gifts so haven"t played yet. We admire games so I consider it will be a winner. Can"t give a honest rating yet though.
An awesome family game for 6 to 99 years of age!
Rate Given : 5 | on : 2009-10-26I acquire an 8 year ancient, 10 year ancient, and 17 year ancient at home. My husband and I play this game with all three kids and we acquire so much fun we end up rolling on the floor laughing! This game gets unbelievably quick! People start screaming and slamming letters and yelling words! My 8 year ancient daughter has a hard time keeping up with my teenage son plays but she still likes it and laughs the whole time! We hold the iphone handy so we can see up words on [...] when we acquire in a spot where nothing seems to work. Most of the time that doesn"t happen, unless my teenage son picks a word.. like aged. Besides.. we admire this game and highly recommend it! We are going to see if it works to place two decks together and double the people (10) at Christmas time. Will be fascinating to see how crazy it gets with my grown daughters and my son-in-laws. As far as educational value, I"ve even learned words. If you acquire in a bind you end up making up a work and half the time, it"s a real word and i read the definition aloud so everyone knows it for the rest of the game. You MUST acquire this game!

Rate Given : 3 | on : 2009-10-25Nothing that exciting. We are huge scrabble players and I guess I was expecting more. We still had an hour of fun. One excellent thing is this is portable!
